Outfits in Minnesota

I can’t believe it’s already May! I know it’s been pretty much a month since I put up my Minnesota Trip post, but I really wanted to share the outfits I wore there with you guys. I’m sorry it’s so late! It’s finals week already and I’m putting up a post from spring break! 😂 Anyway, I’ll get to the outfits.

This is actually the second outfit I wore on the second day I was in Minnesota, but it was my favorite, so I’m showing it first. I kept it very comfortable because I was going to be on the bus for a long ride after we ate breakfast. I wore a pair of black leggings on the bottom because they look cute, and because I knew they’d be nice and comfortable for the bus ride home.

Surprise, surprise, I wore my trusty pair of black Converse. I think they look really nice with this very casual outfit. What else can I say? I love them!

I wore this red sweatshirt to help stay warm (it didn’t work). I like the bright red pop of color and it’s a very comfortable. I actually got this sweatshirt out of a trade. I used to have a very similar sweatshirt from a different school, and one day a friend and I traded sweatshirts. We intended to trade back, but we never did. I’m pretty happy with it though because I think this one looks much better on me!

Over my sweatshirt, I wore my olive green parka. I think it adds a bit of structure to the outfit. Wearing a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt can be pretty plain and can sometimes not look very put together, but adding a jacket with a little more structure can make the outfit look much more intentional.

I wasn’t wearing any makeup because I knew I would be sleeping on the bus, and it would definitely have smeared. My hair was wavy because I slept with it in two French braids. I love sleeping with my hair in braids because it’s a nice way to give your hair some texture without using heat.

This was the outfit I wore on my first day out and about in Minneapolis. It’s a little less casual because I wouldn’t be spending long periods of time sleeping on the bus. It was pretty cold, so I really layered up. I had a long sleeve shirt, a sweater, and my jacket layered on top of each other and I was still freezing! I’m just not meant for the cold! 😆

I borrowed my friend Savannah’s  sweater. I’m sorry I didn’t get any good pictures of it. It’s just a really simple navy blue sweater with these cool brown patches on the elbows. I also wore a pair of plain blue jeans. I love wearing jeans with navy blue. I just have to make sure the jeans and sweater are slightly different colors. Of course I wore Converse with this, too.

It was a very minimal makeup day because I didn’t really want to pack a lot for my trip. I filled in my brows, put on some concealer and mascara, and used a tinted lip balm.
